Every home has its own story. And the people living in it are what make that story special.

Kachcha Aam was born from this very thought.

I always wanted to build something of my own — something creative, colourful and rooted in the things I grew up seeing and loving. My journey into home décor wasn’t exactly planned. I studied textile engineering, worked as a carpet designer, and later found myself working as an interior stylist in a high-end furnishing store. Along the way, I realised something I couldn’t ignore:

The most beautiful homes weren’t necessarily the most expensive ones. They were the ones that felt personal.

A little colour here. Something handmade there. A curtain made just for that window. A cushion that reminded someone of home. A quirky little detail that simply made them smile. That’s where the idea for Kachcha Aam began.

We chose the name Kachcha Aam because raw mango is such a wonderfully Indian memory. It reminds us of childhood summers, of eating raw mango with salt and chilli, of homemade pickles and recipes passed down through generations. And just like a little bit of raw mango can add flavour to an ordinary meal, we wanted our products to add flavour to ordinary homes.

Not loud for the sake of being loud. Not traditional for the sake of being traditional.

Just colourful, playful, handmade pieces that make a home feel more like its people.

We work with local karigars who bring our ideas to life, using traditional techniques and lots of patience.

From our signature big-size tassels to colourful curtains and little details around the home, we believe handmade has a charm that mass-produced décor simply cannot replace. There may be tiny variations. There may be little imperfections.

And honestly, we like it that way.

Because when something is handmade, you can feel the human touch behind it.
